By April 2, 2020No Comments
  1. Do you hold a licence to conduct electrical work?

Yes we do.  Dolphin Electrical Pty Ltd holds an electrical contractors’ licence #81063 and each of our tradesmen hold current Electrical Workers Licences.

  1. Do you have the required insurances to operate as an Electrical Contractor?

Yes we do,

Public Liability for $20,000,000 – well above the $5,000,000 legal requirement.

Consumer Protection for $50,000 – the legal requirement.

Professional Indemnity & Management Liability each for $5,000,000 which is not a legal requirement but an investment in our protection and yours as a valued client.

Work Cover – to protect all of our staff in case of an accident or injury.

Vehicle – Fully comprehensive on all our vehicles.

  1. Will you arrive when you say you will?

Yes we will. Where possible we will provide you with a date and scheduled timing when the booking is taken. If for any reason the scheduling needs to change our admin staff will be in contact to make the adjustment. Should your requirements be more involved we will attend the property in advance to determine a scope of works prior to scheduling. While onsite our tradesmen will have access to onsite contact details should they have any questions. We will do our best to avoid a second visit, but it may be necessary to order parts to finish the job.

  1. Will you clean up after yourselves?

Yes we will. Your job will be completed in a time efficient and professional manner and we will always clean up after ourselves.

  1. Does your company have a Workplace Health & Safety System?

Yes we do. We are a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and have invested further funds beyond membership to use the resources of their NECASafe Program to ensure we not only have a system but are utilizing it. We will conduct a safety risk assessment for every job we attend and forward a copy with our invoice. Please let us know if you would like to see an example of one of our Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), Workplace Health and Safety Policies or Safe Work Procedures.

  1. Do you provide your staff with additional safety training?

Yes we do.  All our staff hold current certificates in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Low Volt Rescue (LVR) as required to hold an electrical licence.  We pay for them to complete a refresher course annually. Each staff member has also completed certified training in Working at Heights & Working in Confined Spaces

  1. Do your staff hold Positive Notice Blue Card Licences?

Yes, each of our staff have a current Blue Card Notice that requires a Police Check and allows them to work near children.

  1. Have each of your staff completed a Construction Industry Induction?

Yes they do, it is a requirement by law that they each have a licence issued by Workplace Health & Safety Queensland.

  1. Do you conduct safety checks on all equipment brought onsite?

Yes we conduct six monthly checks on all ladders, harnesses and electrical equipment and pay for an external company to do a calibration test on our meters annually.
